The Café Top 100 2015 has been announced!

The announcement of the 2015 edition of the Café Top 100 took place on Monday evening, November 24, at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. In the presence of all nominees and their supporters, the complete top hundred best cafés in the Netherlands was unveiled and the category winners announced, under the guidance of presenter Froukje de Both.

The 1st place in the café top 100 goes to our neighbors in the province of Drenthe this year.
Café Groothuis from Emmen can call itself the best café in the Netherlands for a year.
Jan van Es's establishment was named number one in the 2015 Café Top 100 on Monday, November 24.

Groningen occupies the following places this year:

Position 9. De Pintelier, Groningen
Back in the top 10 of this list after three years, a classic pub. When we enter on a Friday afternoon, we see two staff members at work behind the bar. The barmaid is enthusiastic and does her job with a smile.

We find the best café in Groningen in the provincial capital.
The competition here is cutthroat, but Erik Harder has managed to rise above the rest. The classic ambiance, combined with the spontaneous conviviality found here, ensures that De Pintelier returns to where it belongs: in the top 10 of the list and at the top of the province.

Place 26. The Wolthoorn, Groningen
For many, Friday afternoon is the perfect time for a visit to the pub. The work week is over, with a few days off ahead. De Wolthoorn is also pleasantly busy when we step into the café at the end of the week.

Place 49. Soestdijk, Groningen
The grand establishment of Groningen. This is how the owners of Soestdijk in Groningen profile their café with this royal name, which is housed in a picturesque building in the center of the ‘capital of the Northern Netherlands.’
