For this 9th edition, bands and acts will perform in thirteen hospitality venues. The stages are located within reasonable walking distance in the city center of Groningen.
Three new locations have been included in BTG 2017, namely, the Cigar, House of the Stock Exchange and City Café Pronk. The new main sponsor is also Filou, Belgian specialty beerJust like in the previous edition, the Yvette's bicycle taxis to and from the participating locations.
For its 9th edition, BTG 2017 features a mix of new bands/acts and bands/acts returning by explicit request.
Thus plays in café Alto for the last time blues giant Ralph de Jongh, The Juke Joints perform “traditionally” at BTG but now in City Café PronkFurther in the Watchmaker the swing band The Boogiemaster Company, at the Stove Blue Brew returns with excellent blues. Buckshot is spoiled with Captain Morgan Express. Café Mulder The Hoochie receives with a Groningen contribution, the Key has the very talented Belgian bluesman Tiny Legs Tim and the Cigar He also has such a talent, namely Robert den Hartigh. House of the Stock Exchange has the Bluesdaddies with beautiful authentic blues. In the Martini Hotel the popular band Bucket Heat. The Highway Rhythm & Blues are going the Keyzer play flat, Dock’s Bollocks gets the winners of the Dutch Blues Award 2015 Guitar Guy & Kid Harpin’ and Rusty Apollo brings the blues into the in a distinctive way.
